The Bush family and how it has held us by the short hairs for years

if the heavens continue to smile on me, i will never again see the smirking chimp's visage on tv... it's hard enough seeing it appear in all sorts of news articles trumpeting bush's new book...
Investigative journalist Russ Baker provides the stunning counter-story to what’s in George W. Bush’s new book.

russ baker's book: Family of Secrets: The Bush Dynasty, America’s Invisible Government, and the Hidden History of the Past Fifty Years...

Hail, The Fuhrer!

Obama might be a lot of things, but his family tree is free of honest to goodness Nazis.
This is just a teaser. Even the whole article at ICH is just a teaser. Do the research for yourself. The stories are staggering.
Another sad fact, Roosevelt buried this info. to protect himself as well.
There is evil in this world, and WMD's. It walks on two legs and calls itself a "leader".

[...]
Banking on Fascism

It just doesn’t stop does it, as Prescott Bush, son of George continued in the ‘grand tradition’ of skullduggery by also doing deals with the Nazis,

"On October 20, 1942, the US Alien Property Custodian, under the "Trading With the Enemy Act," seized the shares of the Union Banking Corporation (UBC), of which Prescott Bush was a director and shareholder. The largest shareholder was E. Roland Harriman. (Bush was also the managing partner of Brown Brothers Harriman, a leading Wall Street investment firm.)

"The UBC was established to send American capital to Germany to finance the reorganization of its industry under the Nazis. Their leading German partner was the notorious Nazi industrialist Fritz Thyssen, who wrote a book admitting much of this called "I Paid Hitler."

"Among the companies financed was the Silesian-American Corporation, which was also managed by Prescott Bush, and by his father-in-law George Herbert Walker, who supplied Dub-a-Ya with his name. The company was vital in supplying coal to the Nazi war industry. It too was seized as a Nazi-front on November 17, 1942. The largest company Bush's UBC helped finance was the German Steel Trust, responsible for between one-third and one-half of Nazi iron and explosives.

"Prescott Bush was also a director of the Harriman Fifteen Corporation, (this one owned largely by Roland's brother, Averell Harriman), which owned about a third of the Consolidated Silesian Steel Corporation, the rest owned by Friedrich Flick, (a member of Himmler's "Circle of Friends" who donated to the S.S.)."

What is interesting about the history of the Bush family are the connections; Avril Harriman, Allen Dulles, the Rockefellers (the start of the oil connection), James Baker III, Gulf Oil, Pennzoil, Osama bin Laden…on and on it goes.
[...]

The verifiable, factual connections go on and on. The Bush Family is a bastion of international criminal fascist ties.
The Nazis are still among us. We have embraced them. We follow them. We even worship their god.
There is some small hope. It only took one real American to stop them from openly taking over the U.S. in the thirties, General Smedley Butler.
Americans today have become too soft. We don't have half the character or courage a man like Butler had in his day.
But maybe a few of us, working together, might at least approach a fraction of General Butler's love of the Constitutional Republic and make the difference.
Spread the word.

The case against another Clinton presidency

we need another clinton in the white house like we needed another bush...

chris hedges writes in truthdig via alternet about bill clinton's new book, Giving: How Each of Us Can Change the World...

Chris Hedges, a Pulitzer prize-winning reporter, was the Middle East bureau chief for The New York Times. He spent seven years in the Middle East and reported frequently from Iran. His latest book is American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America.

We face the prospect of having two families govern the country for 16 years. The system is rigged. Our democracy is a consumer fraud. The government has given up any pretence of serving the interests of citizens. The corporations rule. And for all Clinton’s charm and talent for self-promotion, he is largely to blame.

Half a century ago, corporations paid 45 percent to 50 percent of the income tax. Today they pay 6 or 7 percent. This is why our infrastructure is crumbling, there is no universal health care, our public education is in crisis, regulatory agencies are impotent and our poor and working class are desperate.

It is no longer possible to argue between the lesser of two evils. The corporate state, which is carrying out a coup d’etat in slow motion and has already shredded most of our constitutional rights, is an unmitigated evil. We do not need charity. We need justice. And all of Bill Clinton’s heart-warming stories about giving are not going to save us from the corporations who sucked out his soul and seek to imprison the rest of us.

when our country is barely treading water, what we DON'T need is a concrete life preserver...

Hunter Thompson, 2003: "Who are these ... flag-sucking half-wits who get fleeced and fooled by stupid little rich kids like George Bush?"

opol has a good diary up on daily kos from which i stole this unwaveringly truthful quote from my hero...
"Who are these Swine? These flag-sucking half-wits who get fleeced and fooled by stupid little rich kids like George Bush? ..... They speak for all that is cruel and stupid and vicious in the American character.... I piss down the throats of these Nazis. And I am too old to worry about whether they like it or not. Fuck Them."

"But wow! This goofy child president we have on our hands now. He is demonstrably a fool and a failure, and this is only the summer of '03. The American nation is in the worst condition I can remember in my lifetime, and our prospects for the immediate future are even worse. . . The Bush family must be very proud of themselves today, but I am not. Big Darkness, soon come. Take my word for it."

"The utter collapse of this Profoundly criminal Bush conspiracy will come none too soon for people like me.... The massive plundering of the U.S. Treasury and all its resources has been almost on a scale that is criminally insane, and has literally destroyed the lives of millions of American people and American families. Exactly. You and me, sport— we are the ones who are going to suffer, and suffer massively. This is going to be just like the Book of Revelation said it was going to be— the end of the world as we knew it."

"These horrifying digital snapshots of the American dream in action on foreign soil are worse than anything even I could have expected. I have been in this business a long time and I have seen many staggering things, but this one is over the line. Now I am really ashamed to carry an American passport."

"America... just a nation of two hundred million used car salesmen with all the money we need to buy guns and no qualms about killing anybody else in the world who tries to make us uncomfortable."

~ Hunter S. Thompson

let's fix it... time's a'wastin'...

Riggs, Bank of the Elite and the Corrupt

I find it interesting that all of the worlds players swim in the same toilet.
And they say only conspiracy nuts come up with this stuff. Check out some of the connected names in these paragraphs.
Here is some snippets from Wikipedia on Riggs bank. Many more links available at the Wikipedia site.

Saudi money transfers
A Saudi named Omar al-Bayoumi housed and opened bank accounts for two of the 9/11 hijackers. About two weeks after the assistance began, al-Bayoumi's wife began receiving monthly payments totaling tens of thousands of dollars from Princess Haifa bint Faisal, the wife of Saudi ambassador and Bush confidant Prince Bandar bin Sultan, through a Riggs bank account.[1] Upon discovery of these transactions, the FBI began investigating the bank for possible money-laundering and terrorist financing.

The FBI was cut off from that investigation right quick.
Although the FBI and later the 9/11 Commission ultimately stated that the money was not intentionally (emphasis added)being routed to fund terrorists, investigators were surprised to see how lax the safeguards at Riggs Bank were. Several Saudi accounts were discovered to have financial improprieties, including a lack of required background checks and a consistent failure to alert regulators of large transactions, in violation of the law. Many of these transactions involved Prince Bandar personally, often transferring over $1 million at a time.

So I guess the money wasn't intentionally directed to terrorists, which implies that it was ultimately directed to terrorists! Little Georgy and his friends, funding terrorists.
Following British investigations on the Al Yamamah deal, reported by The Guardian Prince Bandar would have received over $ 1.5 billion in briberie from BAE Systems through the Riggs Bank

Jonathan Bush, uncle of President George W. Bush, was an executive at Riggs Bank during this period.

Pinochet's frozen funds
Augusto Pinochet, the former dictator of Chile, has been widely accused since 1973 of corruption, illegal arms sales, and torture. In 1994, Riggs officials invited Pinochet to open an account at Riggs Bank. Arrested in 1998 in Britain for possible extradition to Spain, his accounts were ordered frozen by court orders. A recent U.S. Senate report has revealed that Riggs executives helped Pinochet disguise millions of dollars that had been stolen from the Chilean people, although some of Pinochet's supporters have claimed that the money came from supporters outside Chile. By using shell companies and hiding accounts from federal regulators, Riggs illegally allowed Pinochet to retain access to much of his fortune[2].

The Senate report also indicated that regulators were negligent in holding the bank accountable. Although Pinochet's accounts at Riggs had been reported in U.S. and British newspapers, and although these accounts were largely unreported to regulators, those same regulators never made a serious effort to investigate. The comptroller tasked with investigating Riggs in 2002, R. Ashley Lee, was later given an executive position at Riggs.

The disclosure of the Riggs accounts reignited the case against General Pinochet, and a ruling that he was not mentally competent to stand trial was overturned when it was proven that the general himself had orchestrated some of the huge transactions. In 2004, he was ordered to stand trial for crimes against humanity, and additional claims of mental and physical incompetence have been overruled.

In the "good old days", public figures labored to avoid the appearance of impropriety.
I think they're over that these days.
How can you take them ( Bush & Co.) seriously and trust them when all of these names keep appearing together, again and again, in the same scandal ridden stories? They even come up with terrorists and dictators. Yet, we are to believe they have our best interests at heart? We are supposed to trust their judgement?
The most astonishing thing of all is that we do trust them, again and again. We then wonder how things could be so wrong.
The NeoCons may be correct about the human masses. We may just be cattle that wants to be led and not know the real truth.

The Real World

You should jump over to this site, Informationclearinghouse.info and watch their piece on the Carlyle Group. It is the perfect example of Elite control of world affairs, economies, and governments. If you don't believe in that sort of thing, if you believe what you are told, that only conspiracy nuts go for this stuff, you really should watch this documentary.
It is originally a production from the Netherlands, so it is able to talk about things our media won't touch anymore.

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article3995.htm

It has all the major players. All those wonderful folks we are told to look up to and be like.
It's all about life. liberty, and the pursuit of happiness---THEIRS, not ours.
When I watch stuff like this I don't know whether to cry or turn revolutionary.
I always learned these kind of people are the enemies of freedom and democracy.
What do you think?

Another Kool-Aid Overdose

Think Progress has the Emergency Room Report.

Snow: President Bush Is ‘On The Frontlines’ Of The Iraq War ‘Every Day’

In today’s White House press briefing, reporter Helen Thomas asked Tony Snow if there are “any members of the Bush family or this administration in this war.” Stunningly, Snow claimed that President Bush is actually on the “frontlines” of the war in Iraq:

Q: Are there any members of the Bush family or this administration in this
war?

SNOW: Yeah, the President. The President is in the war every
day.

Q: Come on, that isn’t my question –

SNOW: Well, no, if you ask any
president who is a commander in chief –

Q: On the frontlines, where
ever…

SNOW: The President.

A case study in disingenuousness - Bushco and Saudi Arabia

..

the headline itself is disingenuous, but, hey... it's the nyt...

A Saudi Prince Tied to Bush Is Sounding Off-Key

they just don't GET it...? aw, c'mon... you MUST be kidding...
Prince Bandar has mentored Mr. Bush and his father through three wars and the broader campaign against terrorism, reliably delivering — sometimes in the Oval Office — his nation’s support for crucial Middle East initiatives dependent on the regional legitimacy the Saudis could bring, as well as timely warnings of Saudi regional priorities that might put it into apparent conflict with the United States. Even after his 22-year term as Saudi ambassador ended in 2005, he still seemed the insider’s insider. But now, current and former Bush administration officials are wondering if the longtime reliance on him has begun to outlive its usefulness.

Bush administration officials have been scratching their heads over steps taken by Prince Bandar’s uncle, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, that have surprised them by going against the American playbook, after receiving assurances to the contrary from Prince Bandar during secret trips he made to Washington.

well, let 'em "scratch their heads" all they want... if they can't figure it out, they're dumber than advertised... even the nyt at least has a clue...
Since the Iraq war and the attendant plummeting of America’s image in the Muslim world, King Abdullah has been striving to set a more independent and less pro-American course, American and Arab officials said. And that has steered America’s relationship with its staunchest Arab ally into uncharted waters. Prince Bandar, they say, may no longer be able to serve as an unerring beacon of Saudi intent.

“The problem is that Bandar has been pursuing a policy that was music to the ears of the Bush administration, but was not what King Abdullah had in mind at all,” said Martin S. Indyk, a former United States ambassador to Israel who is now head of the Brookings Institution’s Saban Center for Middle East Policy.

it's crystal clear... any middle east state that chooses to continue to stand foursquare behind bushco is going to have severe credibility problems, and, in fact, the same can be said of most countries around the world... there isn't a head of state anywhere that isn't trying to find ways to put some distance between his or her country and george bush in a way that doesn't earn a free pass to bush's "axis of evil..." meanwhile, prince bandar will keep kissing the bush family's ass out of respect for a myriad of convoluted behind-the-scenes ties that aren't visible to use mere mortals...

scratch away, fellers...
