And just what planet IS it that you're living on, sir...?

because, apparently, it's not the same one i'm on...
Bush said he does not believe the Democrats will take over either the House or the Senate in November.

"I can't tell you what the margins are going to be," he said. "But I believe our candidates will go out and talk about the issues that matter and we'll win."

cuz, NOW, it's not just the HOUSE that the traditional press is saying the r's might lose...
Democrats in the past two weeks have significantly improved their chances of taking control of the Senate, according to polls and independent analysts, with the battle now focused intensely on three states in the Midwest and upper South: Missouri, Tennessee and Virginia.

i'd be somewhat more optimistic than i am (which, i confess, ain't much) if we didn't have lord voldemort you-know-who still firmly ensconced in the west wing...
If [Democrats] are as confident as they have been in a decade about regaining at least one house of Congress — and they are — it is a confidence tempered by the searing memories of being outmaneuvered, for three elections straight, by superior Republican organizing and financial strength, and by continued wariness about the political skills of President Bush’s senior adviser, Karl Rove.

do i have a tendency to repeat myself...? yeah, i do, and i'm about to do it again...

karl rove is the synthesis of evil... if you want to talk about how much bad stuff it's possible for one man to accomplish, he would be the prime example... we put people in jail for a host of lesser evils... it's a shame that this man is still on the loose...
