Tracking the Theoligarchy - RAT-zinger & "Fast-Track" Sainthood
i debated at first about including the catholic church, the papacy and the newly-elevated RAT-zinger in the theoligarchy category but, on further thought, it seems like a perfect fit... after all, the "rule of the few" amd the "rule of the 'divinely guided'" certainly applies as does the ease of changing the rules whenever the mood strikes... case in point...

what would be the advantage for RAT-zinger to proceed with a fast-track beatification and canonization process for jpII...? vatican spin says it's due to the outpouring of affection for the late pontiff and the belief that miracles attributed to him will be validated... my cynical take is that it's a way for the rat-man to deflect focus on himself and what is going to be his heavy-handed imposition of rules and dogma like we've already seen in the removal of the editor of america magazine and the condemnation of the spanish government bill allowing marriage between homosexuals....
