The Daily Kos, groupthink, head-in-the-sand POV

sigh... somebody else sucking up to markos...

so much to refute, so little time...

I'm actually here to rant about the various assholes and dickheads who keep saying they will not vote for certain candidates, or that they will only vote for their preferred candidate.

To these very special, unique and precious individuals, I have a message from those of us who have not taken leave of our senses:

Leave.

Now.

Please.

Just leave. Get off this site, get away from us, and go far, far away where your near viral ignorance will not infect the others.

We are on this site to exchange thoughts, ideas, wishes, desires, and above all else, to elect Democrats.

Some of you have seemingly forgotten that, or deemed it unimportant.

[...]

Let me elucidate.

The only thing we need to be worried about is another 4 years of a Republican President.

That's it.

Rather than any of the Republican candidates, I will gladly support and vote for any of the Democratic candidates.

Hillary Clinton?

Bring it on. In 2008, we'll have a bigger Congressional Democratic majority anyway, so it doesn't matter if she's "too beltway" or "too centrist."

Barack Obama?

Hell yeah. It doesn't matter if he caters to ignorant types every so often, because his heart is liberal and with a majority, he'll be firmly on our side.

John Edwards?

Fine with me. Doesn't matter if he caters to whatever's popular at the moment because with a Democratic majority, our agenda is what's popular.

Any of the other candidates?

Whatever. They'll be fine, too.

The bottom line is that if you are not willing to vote for someone other than your preferred candidate, then you really need to piss off.

Any of the Democratic candidates is better than the best Republican candidate.

nah... i ain't going to bother refuting it... it would be a waste of time... all i can say is that, anybody who can still, in december 2007, spout such unbelievably simplistic and patently absurd nonsense as the following...
The only thing we need to be worried about is another 4 years of a Republican President.

and...
Rather than any of the Republican candidates, I will gladly support and vote for any of the Democratic candidates.

does not deserve the time spent in refutation...
