Past Wisdom vs. Present Folly
I am still amazed at how incredibly insightful the Founders were.
This short quote from Madison covers today's most important problems.
And yet, perpetual warfare is the promise of the New World Order our brave NeoCon leaders wish for us. Here's some more insight from someone who lived long ago, perhaps the first NeoCon.
They count on us not to remember the words of the past. It's how they maintain control. It's so frustrating that throughout Human history we commit the same errors.

This short quote from Madison covers today's most important problems.
James Madison, the principal architect of the U.S. Constitution, noted in 1795:
“Of all the enemies of public liberty, war is perhaps the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies. From these proceed debts and taxes. And armies, debts and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the dominion of the few.... No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.”
And yet, perpetual warfare is the promise of the New World Order our brave NeoCon leaders wish for us. Here's some more insight from someone who lived long ago, perhaps the first NeoCon.
"Beware the leader who bangs the drums in war to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind.
And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, they will offer up all their rights unto the leader and gladly so.
How do I know ? For this is what I have done. And I am Ceasar."
They count on us not to remember the words of the past. It's how they maintain control. It's so frustrating that throughout Human history we commit the same errors.
