Absurdity of the day
oh, REALLY...?!?!
this is what those who hold the rest of us in thrall simply don't get, or, if they do get it, choose to ignore... whether or not there's an ACTUAL, DEMONSTRABLE conflict of interest, working in a position where you serve the public interest as part of a government body, you have to avoid any APPEARANCE of a conflict of interest... why would you want even the FAINT ODOR of a POSSIBLE conflict of interest to waft from decisions you make that affect the commonwealth of the citizens you were appointed to look after...? Archer, 58, said he would not allow a conflict to exist. "There's no compensation from Georgia Power that will influence my vote on this board," he said.
