Salvage ethnography and visual anthropology through image research reveal the truth:

Trying to save the elephants from poachers, Richard E. Leakey burned a cache of some 2,000 elephant tusks, ivory worth an estimated $3 million. They should have been saved for posterity, even if it meant that they went into a vault for the study by future generations.

Government has tried the same thing with the Art of sensual children's imagery. Like Leaky, government is wrong too.
