Apologizing for and defending the Democrats

anybody holding national elected office who isn't screaming bloody murder about our country being sold out from under us and our constitution being progressively destroyed, doesn't deserve to be defended, much less apologized for...

Far too often, I am saddened by posts which tarnish "Democrats" as a whole for not ending the war in Iraq, or not standing up to Republicans enough. The truth--and one that is not repeated as much as it should be--is that there are many Democrats in the House and Senate who, in simple terms, "get it." They get how much is at stake, how much damage has been done, and they get that today's toxic and destructive political climate calls for much more than politics as normal.

all of them, democrat and republican, have taken the oath to preserve and protect the constitution of the united states of america, and, if they can't do that, they have no business representing american citizens in congress... period...
