Condi stonewalls on Bolton information [UPDATE]

once again, the arrogance of power and the blind determination of the cheney/bush/rove axis of evil to insure that ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING goes their way even if it means tacitly supporting verbal and emotional abuse and the potential destruction of the u.s. relationship with the u.n...
The State Department is refusing to make public internal documents sought by Senate Democrats in their attempt to seek more information about repeated clashes between John R. Bolton and American intelligence agencies over Syria, administration officials say.

In rejecting the request, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has said that the information involves "internal deliberations" and their disclosure could have a chilling effect on debates within the administration.

thanks to think progress, we now know just how far the above-referenced "axis of evil" is prepared to go to get bolton approved... how far is that...? whatever it takes...
The State Department is only responding to requests that are approved by Republicans:

"All we’d done is made sure that what we’ve put forward is in keeping with the agreements that the committee had, which was to pursue this in a joint way. And what we’ve been doing is giving answers to the things that the chairman [Sen. Dick Lugar (R-IN)] believes he and his colleagues on the Democratic side can all agree are relevant and important to the investigation."
